Introduction
Netherthong Pre-School and Playgroup has been registered since 1991 and is a voluntary organisation managed by a committee of parents. The Pre-School and Playgroup is inspected by OFSTED which reports on the quality and standard of care and nursery education.
We are affiliated to SureStart Children's Centres and the Pre-School and Playgroup Learning Alliance, a national education charity which has a policy of learning through play.
It operates from a portable building in the village of Netherthong, near Holmfirth. A maximum of twenty children, aged between two and four years may attend the Pre-School and Playgroup at any one time.

How we work
A non-profit making committee of parents runs the Pre-School and Playgroup. All parents are invited to attend meetings and new members are always needed.
The committee employs the Early Years Practitioners to run the group. The practitioners undergo regular on-going training. A qualified first aider is always present in Pre-School and Playgroup sessions.
